We are currently designing the gardens at 7140 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach. The planned gardens provide a stunning landscape for the site’s proposed hotel and development. Integral to the site design is the inclusion of European style amenities of charming street side dining, efficient vehicular areas, and elegant plaza plantings. The ground level plantings define the hierarchy of the property by circumscribing circulation, vehicular, and social space. The plantings include appropriate seaside specimens to connect the site with the adjacent rehabilitated Miami Beach sea dunes. Located on the fourth floor of the hotel are the amenity level gardens which are organized into garden rooms with distinct amenities, views, and capacity. The proposed development aims to acquire United States Green Building Council’s (USGBC) LEED Gold project status. To achieve this designation, we have designed the garden to be water efficient, minimize light pollution, and built from locally sourced materials. The gardens at 7140 Collins are anticipated for a 2019 completion.
